So much has happened over the past year! The closing of World Fusion was devastating to me but the community of belly
dancers could not be stopped. Instead a group of die hards got together to create Raq the Rivers Belly Dance Alliance.
This is an amazing collaboration which unifies the now 4 dance troupes (Taleeba, KaliMa, MahaDevi and Scarlet Dahlias)
and many other local professionals looking to perform. I am hoping to use Jordana and Friends as a linking point to the
Alliance and help continue to grow our amazing belly dance community. I am currently on a short hiatus due to the
expectant arrival of my second child. I am hoping to be back full strength in 2011, until then I am lending my continued
support to the community. Classes are still being taught around the region by my students, and troupes are still shaking it at
local events, festivals and shows. This website will continue to change as the community does, and I will do my best to keep
everyone linked and updated to all the shimmy fun going on and around the Fort. Thanks again for your interest and support

Happy New Year! I am really excited for 2011, there is so much in store! First to update you, Marah Louise was born
11/8/2010 8.6lbs and 22.2 in. It was an epic birth, the first waterbirth at Parkveiw North. I will be returning to teaching in a
limited capacity. Teaching one class through Parks and Rec, please see the instruction page for more details. Raq the Rivers
already has several shows planned for this year, you can see more on the on the events page. Meetings will be the third
Saturday of every month, please keep checking back for location and times.
