Meet the Dancers...
Born in Queens NY. Jordana's first love was the theater. That love eventually brought her to Las
Vegas to study stagecraft at the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts. In 1994 she became
enamoured with belly dance when she experienced her first event with the Las Vegas chapter of the
Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).

To feed her nomadic spirit she moved all over the United States and eventually in 1998 settled in Fort
Wayne Indiana. There she was blessed by the teachings of the legendary Leila Gamal and her mentor
Zweena bint Asya. In 2001 she was invited  to join Troupe Taleeba and in 2004 became assistant
director.  With the saddend departure of Zweena in 2005, Jordana was honored  to take the reigns
and become the director of the amazingly talented group of women. Troupe Taleeba performed at
festivals and belly dance events all through the Midwest.  In 2010, after almost a decade, Jordana
passed the torch onto current director of Taleeba, Johara.

Although Jordana's love for "classic old style Egyptian" influenced her performances, she yearned
for a more creative endeavor. In 2005 she created fusion troupe Kali-Ma, which mixed elements of
tribal, modern, ballet, African, hip-hop, and jazz, with a much darker twist. With co-directors Sayra
and Soldis they are able to create elaborate story based choreographies.

With the belly dance community booming in Fort Wayne  Jordana decided in 2007 to open up World
Fusion Dance Studio. A venture that focused solely on belly dance instruction. technique,
performance and musicality.  Sadly due to the economy the studio closed in 2010, but there are
rumors of a future revival. In the 3 short years of the studio, Jordana produced, choreographed,
directed and performed in over 10 student and professional based shows.

Her choreography and stage shows are inspired and dramtic. Drawing from her expertise in stage
production, her passion for the dance, she creats her own style of "Soul Shaking" belly dance.

Currently Jordana is on a brief hiatus due to the pending birth of her second child. She is looking
forward to returning to belly dance in early 2011
